Online green sand testing and control at the moulding machine. The Versatile VCAT-II automatically extracts a sample from the stream and tests compactability, estimated moisture, mould permeability and strength in 12 to 22 seconds, live on a shop-floor display, with feedback to the mixer and automatic mould rejection.
What it tests: compactability (squeezing type), estimated moisture (electrical properties correlated to moisture), mould permeability, and strength (mould strength penetration, or green compression strength optional).
Closed-loop control: after each test the VCAT-II raises an alarm on deviation, sends set-point feedback to the mixer compactability controller and V-DOSE water dosing, and drives a mould-rejection marking output on your LCL/UCL limits.
