VSYNC: Industrial Data Aggregator for the Foundry Floor
One device. Every machine. Every parameter. Always on.
The V-Sync is a rugged, plug-and-play industrial data aggregator purpose-built for foundry environments. It connects to your sand testing equipment, moulding machines, and process controllers and delivers real-time process data to your monitoring platform. Designed, manufactured, and supported by Versatile Equipments, a company with over two decades of foundry equipment expertise.
Key Features
1. Connects to All Your Foundry Equipment The Vsync supports the most widely used industrial communication standards for foundry floor instruments. Whether your sand tester has a serial interface or your moulding line runs on an Ethernet network, the Vsync connects directly without requiring additional protocol converters or middleware. One device handles both.
2. Multi-Machine, Multi-Parameter Monitoring A single Vsync unit can simultaneously collect data from multiple machines, each with its own set of process parameters. Compactability, moisture, green compression strength, shear strength, permeability, active clay, cycle counters, temperatures, pressures, configure the parameters your process demands. No per-channel licensing fees.
3. Built-In Offline Data Protection Network outages are a reality on the foundry floor. The Vsync includes onboard data storage that automatically captures readings when connectivity is interrupted. When the connection is restored, buffered data uploads automatically without operator intervention, helping to minimize gaps in your data history.
4. Cloud or On-Premise, Your Choice Data can be delivered to the Versatile cloud platform or to your own on-premise Versatile server. The system uses standard web protocols, making it straightforward for your IT team to integrate with existing databases, ERP systems, or analytics dashboards.
5. Remote Configuration Register the device, define your machines and parameters, and power it on. The Vsync pulls its configuration remotely. Need to add a parameter or change a register mapping? Update it from the server without dispatching an engineer to the shop floor.
6. Redundant Network Connectivity The Vsync supports both wired and wireless network connections simultaneously. Dedicated indicator LEDs on the device show connectivity status at a glance, enabling maintenance staff to quickly identify network issues.
7. Timestamping with Battery Backup An onboard real-time clock with battery backup maintains accurate time through power outages. On boot, the device synchronizes with an internet time server; if the network is unavailable, it falls back to its internal clock. Your process records carry reliable timestamps.

Utility for Customer
Business Benefit
Universal Equipment Connectivity
Connect legacy and modern machines with a single device. No additional converters or gateways required.
Lower hardware costs and faster installation. Typically operational within hours, not weeks.
Multi-Machine Aggregation
One Vsync monitors all machines on a line, sand testers, moulding units, muller controllers.
Fewer devices to purchase, install, and maintain. Significantly reduces per-line hardware count.
Offline Data Protection
Readings are preserved locally during network outages and uploaded when connectivity returns.
Helps maintain continuous data records for quality audits and compliance documentation.
Standard Data Protocols
Uses widely adopted web standards.
No proprietary middleware licensing. Your IT team can work with the data using familiar tools.
Remote Configuration
Add parameters, change settings, and update configurations without a site visit.
Reduces ongoing configuration effort, especially valuable for multi-plant operations.
Dual Network Connectivity
Wired and wireless connections with visual status indicators for maintenance staff.
Improved uptime and faster troubleshooting of connectivity issues.
Battery-Backed Clock
Reliable timestamps maintained through power outages.
Trustworthy process records for SPC, audit trails, and quality documentation.
Cycle-Aware Capture
Captures data per production cycle, not on a fixed timer. Deduplication at the server.
Cleaner datasets. Significantly lower bandwidth and storage requirements vs. time-based logging.
Automatic Data Conversion
Raw instrument readings converted to engineering units based on configuration.
Faster commissioning. Reduces risk of data interpretation errors.
Linux-Based Platform
Industry-standard operating system. Field-upgradeable firmware.
Long-term supportability. No proprietary firmware lock-in.
Delivery Confirmation
Each data upload is individually confirmed by the server. Partial failures are retried automatically.
Confidence in data completeness. Minimizes risk of silent data loss.
Compact Form Factor
Fits inside standard equipment cabinets alongside existing controls.
No additional enclosure or floor space required. Clean, professional installation.
